Farahan is showing better judgement than I expect of him. I wait for his next piece of incompetence though.

Hooray?... Still unsure if it's Team Awful or Team Slightly-Less-Awful who win this round...
On an art-side point of view, I really like what Pete has done with the chains and the composition of the panels and characters.

That is very wise of King Farahn. The centuries have finally taught him this. And may I say I have always enjoyed his shiny look.

The line about Farahn offering power before and Gwynn refusing is interesting, because, even after Gwynn had thrown K'Z'K in the mind-void, we see her using magic and, unless I am mistaken, we don't see her making a deal with the book until the Captain Botanical saga.
So this might mean Gwynn (like Allie Liberliaganus) has power of her own. Interesting.

Not only does she speak with forked tongue in the first two panels .... it's a doubly forked tongue. Nicely done, Pete.
I think I mentioned months ago she was not a nice, stable personality for Poopy Pants and Farahan to learn better interpersonal relationships from.
But Farahan putting her back on the shelf may have saved the lives of a few of Gwynn's suitors over this period.

There's a particular instance where Gwynn uses magic that I'm expecting to see in this flashback.
