Assuming Pete is not lying to us... I have my doubts...

What Gwynn and Siphy say, 2000 years apart, seems to be too close to be a coincidence.

Hardly a coincidence ...

Both are under the spell of the Book of E-Ville. But at least Siphy isn't sending out junk mail.

I had to go back and check, since I never remember the names in stories. So Siphaniana here is the daughter of Soco, who was the muschachioed son of Allie, who we saw with the powers in earlier strips.

When they have powers that are inherited in a family, it would seem a good idea to write down how it started, and all other important information. So that what you know about the demon, for example, isn't just that he protects your family and might have something to do with the book. The devil is in the details! Or the demon, as it were.

Amazing find! Pete sure had fun with this one.

Wow, I have completely forgotten the Hamster Nom story. Don't make me re-read dozens of strips. Okay, I will, after work.

Don't say that! You'll suck me in too. I can't count how many times I've followed a ref link and emerged, hours later, ravenous and in dire need of a potty break.

Since no one has mentioned it yet, hasn't anyone noticed that Siphy is Farahn's first flame?

I would have thought he would have remembered her name, given that it was close to the name of his beloved Queen Siphania.

In some ways that's the best way to read Sluggy. It combines the ride the wave of checking new updates with the 'for the archives' feel that some of the stories do best with.

Start reading! Though it isn't necessary to read every line, perhaps.
The story contains this exchange that I remember made me laugh:

"You said your garden-defense-grid would not blow up my garden."

"Torg, that doesn't even make sense! Why would I say such a thing?"
