Is it just me, or does she look about 15 years older than she did a few strips ago?

edit: nm, just went back and noticed the captions - it's a skip. Of exactly 15 years, in fact. I promise I didn't do that on purpose!

Oh man. The "look out morons" punchline paired with the deep cuts. So much to love about this strip.

Agreed the punchline is simple but quite effective. (Isn't the word scrying, not scying? Or am I the one making up words now?)

Also, it's noticeable Quint has been balding.

I rather liked the joke from years ago that it was from the same publisher as the Book of Gud, and the Book of the Ugh-lee.

The name and the origin.
I was thinking until now, that we were shown how the book of Güd was created!

No, the publisher of the book of Güd was also the publisher of the Book of Bahd and the Book of Uhglee... Quint is obviously the author of the book of Eville.

The question we should all be asking is ...

HOW LONG has Pete been planning for the dread Book of E-Ville to turn out to be full of dime-store joke spells and misnamed by a loner Etruscan wizard??

The link to the 'love potion' story line is from TWENTY YEARS AGO ...

I pretty much never post here, but I had to say bravo for that punchline. I'm still giggling at it an hour after reading it and I have no idea why. I suspect I'll be using it in real life for years to come, even if no one understands what I'm talking about.

Quint may be making words up but it sounds like he's going for milli vanilli. A book of sing-a-longs? Lol

As mentioned in brackets previously, but probably needs highlighting specifically: for divination magic, it's "Scrying" not "Scying" - a typo so good, it was repeated twice.

I just spotted the shape of the dagger. Looks a bit like a certain special dagger from the archives, but I can't (am too lazy) to find a ref.

Is the Latin title not "Libermalum"?

Is "Libermalum" a product of misinterpreting bad Latin as English and then translating that into Latin?

Thanks! I tried to look up "scying" and found nothing better than an armhole.

He's even balder now than he was in Rome, so this must be several years later again.
