I mostly gave the Drow the flintlock so he could use it to make fire. As the Human has found out, fire is somewhat of a big deal here.

There are, however, certain rules to how this place operates and you'll be able to find what you need to get by in time. That would also include what you need to use the flintlock as the weapon it's supposed to be and not just as a glorified fire starter.

I've been somewhat scatterbrained the past couple days, sorry. I'll look into having the next post up sometime tomorrow.

I can't imagine why, everything is so normal and easy right now. It happens, we'll get over it.

This place got pretty quiet. How's everyone doing?

I'll post in the next day or two to get things caught up.

Hey, just another day in paradise. Though it seems paradise is different things to different kinds of life forms and semi-life forms.

Summer must be edging Winter out by a small margin.

Way over here in the southern hemisphere, winter is definitely winning.

At least, in this general area.

Btw, in another world, in another time, the bastard sword was magical, sapient, and bonded to the Drow. Here and now? It's a sword he doesn't want to part with, for some reason he can't remember. Any other qualities it might or might not have are long since forgotten.

I'm assuming that the Drow has standard Elvish pointed ears?

Yup, stylish black pointed ears. It's an elf thing.

Locked as in a mechanical lock, or locked as in bolted from the other side?

It has a keyhole lock. The knob doesn't turn when you try it and the door doesn't have much give if pushed on. You're pretty sure it's locked via key, but beyond that you're not sure.

What's the overall tech level here? Late medieval?

Everything so far has seemed medieval-ish. Late medieval is a good estimate.

I think I'd like to unlock Burglary at +2 for Humphrey. Mainly from practising for escapology tricks, but those also involve picking locks (just generally by touch, behind the back, while one isn't looking at them) so he should be able to handle late-medievalish locks...
