It was a turkey shoot much like this which convinced him that being a combatant really wasn't his style any more. So of course since he's woken up he's been involved in two of them. Apparently being tired of war doesn't mean that war is tired of you.

Quick housekeeping detail: what became of that crew stuck in a loop of loading the broken siege engine? And is the guy in the robe from the beginning of the battle lying dead out there?

Short form on the backstory. Some Russian oriented Ukrainian troops were led to believe that they could ambush a nationalist column on a certain road. En route to that road their trucks ran into a bunch of guys with RPGs and various machine guns. What anti-tank rounds and various 7.62/12.7 mm machine gun bullets do to helpless men in light trucks is several kinds of not pretty. Arkady was manning a medium machine gun that day (much like today); and it was a bit too much for him.

The crew stuck in the loading loop are still there, on their ship, re-loading the siege engine. A small squad of Alstrom's soldiers is discussing what to do about them; by and large, they appear to have concluded that firing crossbow bolts at them until they stop moving just doesn't seem right, but taking them prisoner is going to involve approaching them and they may turn violent at that point. The debate is likely to continue until a sergeant turns up and starts yelling at people.

There are so many bodies around, that it's near impossible to spot a specific one - the Count was only so easily found because he was right near the body of his horse. There is, however, no sign of the robed fellow's horse.

There's movement in the pit, and a bunch of Alstrom's men standing around it with long spears are making sure that the movement doesn't leave the pit.

I don't know if we're currently accepting new players. Gonna have to wait for CCC to get back. How much of the game have you read so far?

A new player is a possibility. You'd play as someone originally from Earth, recently woken from cold sleep (if you play).

What sort of character would you be looking to make?

i had a couple of ideas floating around, the ones that seemed to be holding the most water were either excon sent out because you never know when you need a rogue, or a farm sciences/botanist type sent to help jump start the agriculture on the new planet. I'd be fine with either, I've got skills and aspects in mind for both of them.

We have both those angles covered already. Nate and Roger have the Science and Botany angles covered and we have an NPC rogue that specializes in that sort of thing. Not saying you can't go either of those routes, though, you'd definitely be better than Nate and Roger if you specialized and having two rogues can only help.

Our character sheets are on the first page of this thread if you want some inspiration.
