At the end of Kesandru's Well we saw the book go flying into the Blight along with the Mind Wedgier. I wonder how she got it back... or if it came back on its own? We know it's sentient, after all.

Where? I don't actually see it go off the house so it could have hit a pile of rubble or something.

That being said, Pete isn't above a blatant fourth-wall smashdown every now and then--

Rubble or not, the book of E-Ville does not go where it does not want to go. It's sentient, and has the power to do what it wants. If it didn't feel like falling out of the house when the Mind Wedgier was tipping it, it wouldn't fall out of the house.

I think you can see it on the last panel of that comic, near the Mind-Wedgier's tentacle. Looks to me like it was lost there. (Also notice Gwynn saying "Noooo" when it happened.) I imagine we'll see some flashback sooner or later that explains how it came back.

Ohhh, I see the book there now. It could either be the book, or part of the tentacle....
Though it really does look like an open book.

Gwynn describes her relationship with the book here.
