Tonite on an all new episode of Thusday! It's a special episode where everyone learns something and we learn that drugs are bad.
Yeah, Time to seriously jump the shark

So this is what it feels like to get the first post?
edit: I guess I should add a reaction:
Damn, and I thought we were going to cut away to Oasis! *pouts* Oh well, at least we get to see Gwynn's monkeys again

I had a felling Pete would take us off in a different direction.
I still have no idea what direction it is.!

Last time we heard/saw Gwynn she and Shlock were smart and were RUNNING away from falling trees and houses...
I wish calling in sick was always that easy....
I almost feel sorry for the monkeys... I feel sorry for Jane or her brother if they open that cage...

I'm looking forward as to how she's going to try to disappear.
Nice direction, seeing as how I was looking forward to a femme focus for a relief from the Gov't and Aylee-Torg shtuff. Definitely better than the Schlock angle, the underwear should probably fade a bit into the background of our minds first...

This is the kind of strip I try to avoid in my comic but seem to do tons of nonetheless.
Humorless plot-moving comics.

I must be a freak, because I kinda would rather have a good plot moving comic and NOT dillute it with a throw away joke. If a joke can be worked into the plot, then that's great, but I love the plot the most.
Am I weird or what?

Wasn't it a throwaway joke when the manager said "...if I have to establish that you work in a zombie-themed restaurant one more time..."?

Yeah, but it's not just that there's no humour. It's not even a good plot moving comic. Frankly, it's boring. It's slow. It's not funny. I'm sure it's heading somewhere good, but there's only a handful of comics so far this year that give any hint of that.
Look, I was going to launch into a rant about how disappointed I am in sluggy these days, but it's probably unjustified and Pete doesn't really deserve it. It's a great comic, I just think it's not as good as it once was. It's a totally subjective opinion, and I'm sure others disagree. There it is.
If you want to see where I'm coming from, compare the comics so far in 2007 with the stories from the beginning of 2000 until March 15th, 2000. There's just no comparison.
I guess it's mainly a feeling. Maybe one day I'll have time to analyse it in more detail.
