I don't know guys, I'm 8 points out of second place, and have never scored more than a point per post. Kitoba, CCC, you guys are nice to encourage me but I don't really see anyway I can get back into this game short of a miracle.
(OOG: Great CCC advanced the state. I finally have some inkling of how to score in state 1 but now I'll have to wait until it comes around again.)

[OOG 1 point, 1 demerit, and you just missed the second point 2 separate times. Game is in State 3. In contrast to the first round, this is actually the easiest state in this round.]

It's not about the points, Dodger. Figuring out the rules is the real aim here.

I have no idea about this game. I am wondering if I should draw up the grid from my game with the moves everyone made to explain how it worked better but I'm fairly sure I won't. Or it won't.

[OOG - CCC - 1 more point, and the game goes back to state 1. Steave - no points but I would love to see that grid! I still don't quite understand your game, even after being told the rules...]

CCC suspects that State One is the wrong state for the above post to score in. Kitoba's narcissism should be taken into account in a different state. Dodger should further note that, unlike previous rounds, quoting is likely to be less useful in this round - though Dodger should be able to obtain at least one point in any state with a full quote of this post.

[OOG - @Dodger77, I'm not Beetlejuice, but a good effort. As CCC noted, you would have scored one point and two nulls in State 2. CCC continues to show his prowess in this game by maxing his points again, with one null. This would have been an automatic round-ending post, if I hadn't suspended the rule. Instead, I'm going to wait a reasonable amount of time to let the other players each take one more shot before closing the round. As a hint, if you look at each of the point-maxing posts, it offers a good way to see what scores in each round and state, particularly the round ending posts, which are more efficient. It will be EXTREMELY difficult to score in the next round if you don't understand all the previous rounds, but easy if you do understand them.]

[OOG: As a further hint, I scored my points in that last post with the first word of each sentence. Parts of speech are important, and remember that this round is like round one but more proper and less pro.]

[OOG Well, since there are no additional tries at round 3, let's move on!
For the final round, PM me your answer. In order to convince people to try it, there will be a bonus of Quidditchian disproportionality (i.e. big enough that anyone who gets it can still potentially win the game) for anyone who PMs me a perfect entry.
In the event my inbox is full, post here, OOG, and let me know.
That's it. There are no direct clues for Round 4, so either you figure it out on your own --or you don't!]

Sir, with point inflation, our other games are producing over four hundred billion points per year.

[OOG - So, our frontrunners have turned in their entries --and both are shy of perfection, so there's still a chance for anyone to swoop in and Golden Snitch this . At the risk of unfairness to those who have already made their plays, here are some late clues. The basic rules have remained the same for all four rounds. Only the specifics have changed. Also, for all rounds except the first, what would have been a correct entry has been previously posted as a wrong entry in a previous round. Drache, CCC, if you guys want to petition to amend your answers, based on the new info, let me know. CCC you scored both points and demerits, drachefly, you picked a strategy that avoided both]

Given my strategy, I think that it would be unfair for me to amend my attempt.
