Well, you just did, and you certainly got attention (particularly given the obscurity of the quote). So I guess you can.

The Lords aren't taking it lying down. They've voted in favour of an all appointed house. You'd think they'd have the decency to go gracefully.

How little self-respect would someone have to have to 'go gracefully' by that standard?

The British have already reduced the House of Lords to a speed bump. It would be very abnormal for the Lords to then turn around and say "you're right, I shouldn't be able to sit here and exercise my one, rather small, power."
