Mike Scanlon, aide to Abramoff and Delay (though not, supposedly, simultaneously); sent the following in an E-mail to some clients...

"The wackos get their information through the Christian right, Christian radio, mail, the internet and telephone trees," Scanlon wrote in the memo, which was read into the public record at a hearing of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee. "Simply put, we want to bring out the wackos to vote against something and make sure the rest of the public lets the whole thing slip past them."

They then use this victory to push through exactly what these suckers voted against; in this case a casino. So right off the bat, I'd have to nominate the GOP for the honor of having the greatest contempt for these voters. Sure, it's painfully obvious from the way they behave; but to put it in black and white like that takes it to that level of refinement that needs acknowledgement.
