You guys realize that the tea party literally marched through the country carrying guns.
Because any sort of legislation that fixed how the country was being ran was tantamount to socialization, and there were people out there who even today, threatening violent, possibly terrorist, action if any of it passed without some modicum of compromise being thrown their idealogical direction. Got it: "march through the country carrying guns ... threatening violent ... action".

My opinion of the president is relatively high.
He passed healthcare reform; admittedly he tailored it to the health insurance industry, but if he hadn't, there's a good chance that when he looses this next election, it'd just be repelled.
If he passes DADT reform he'll have addressed two of the biggest issues i wanted addressed.
The fact of the matter is he was handed a booby-trapped pile of exploding crap. If he's gotten himself a little messy, I'm willing to overlook that.
