There's an interesting acronym driving the sugar high in the financial markets; Trump Always Chickens Out (TACO). They figure he's a worthless coward, and the GOP remains infinitely corrupt (see the House's budget); so the good times will roll.

I'm kind of curious what happens when Trump hears that acronym on Fox, and one of his more psychotic little minions uses it to convince him not to blink until after his gross stupidity and ignorance cause a major catastrophe (with the intention of cashing in on it because said minion will know the timing). The market won't react in time because, well, TACO; but not that time. Oh, well.

Ah, but it got more interesting. A court finally did what every one of the degenerate Republican traitors in the House wouldn't do; and said all of Trump's tariffs are illegal. To the limited extent that anyone in the world took this pathetic little loser seriously in trade negotiations, that's over; now we move on (with maximum Republican criminality and bad faith) to the Trump has to openly grovel and eat crap in order to get their tariffs against us eased part of the talks.

Ok, not every nation will see the need for that; but you can safely bet Xi will make it a very public humiliation.

So uh, what says Trump won't ignore this court order or weasel around it by inventing some other flimsy legal justification? He's been giving the courts the runaround on immigration. Why not trade too? The congressional Republicans have buried a provision in the budget to kneecap the courts' ability to enforce contempt rulings against Trump's little minions, and only the Senate Republicans are standing in the way of that one. Well, that and what remains of their respect for the Parliamentarian who'll probably tell them they can't do it by reconciliation.

Oh, he'll use other laws; but this one is almost certainly not available to him any more. Which is important, oddly enough, because it's not a tariff law (one of the biggest reasons he'll lose); so there are no limits to what he could pile on under it or why. All the other laws which are supposed to be about tariffs have limits on how high, what specific goods, and more hoops to jump through to get there. And this likely isn't going to be the hill he wants to die on for which he finally openly flouts the judiciary, either; he's already been humiliated too often here, and it's only going to get worse when he gets crucified in his doomed trade wars.

So I get to watch the local economy trashed, but the rest of the world won't be hit by massive and blanket tariffs. And they'll still set up trade zones that pointed exclude the US anyway; so there's that.

So yeah, troops illegally in an American city (the law specifies stuff he ignored has to happen first). Getting ready use the Army to wave his little willie around on Saturday, while the media very overtly ignores the protests around the country to fanboy his little parade (still, TACO; so we'll see). Should be fun.

Oh, and since Newsom is making noises about withholding monies from the Republican parasites in the White House and Congress: it's worth remembering that the surplus taxes of all the productive Democrats, in all of the blue states put together, won't cover the bill for the Republican bums in Kentucky alone. Red State parasitism and corruption is paid for on our national credit card; and the rate on that bids fair to go up fast because of said Republican parasites in Washington. This should get entertaining (or at least interesting).

One hears that the US Air Force has bombed several Iranian targets. One has to assume the BDA was at best marginal, because Trump said the attack succeeded brilliantly (though in much shorter words). So now what? One assumes sleeper cells may well be getting calls, and infrastructure the Republicans refused outright to pay for the protection of may very well be getting a visit (or a cybervisit) soon. Oh, and more direct violence as deemed appropriate by the Iranian leadership will probably manifest soon; mostly in Asia for now.

Yeah, Trump's gotta go for that easy win while he's losing all over; even if it's only a win for a news cycle or two and even then only in his imagination.

And it turns out that we don't actually know where Iran's stockpile of more or less bomb grade Uranium is, much less if we so much as scratched it. Oh, well; looks like Dubya destroying the spy network we set up specifically to look for that kind of thing, in that region, has repercussions after all: even if he did do it entirely as a dick waving stunt against the chief spook's husband.

I think Trump is rabidly lying that his ineffective attack on Iran was a big success because his failure is dangerous to him personally. The evil trash that love him hate foreign intervention, yet can easily be poop by macho lies; and now he's attacked Iran and shown himself to be weak. An awkward combination.

So Trump signed a bill that (among other corruptions and atrocities) funds a Gestapo (ICE) and multiple concentration camps. The BLS is obviously falsifying the employment figures. And Trump stole scads of money from what's left of FEMA (using the stolen money to build a concentration camp) while gutting NOAA (he ordered the Navy to stop sharing satellite feeds with NOAA regarding weather, on top of getting rid of way too many essential staff), which is already killing people. And endless criminal etc.

So, how was everyone else's 4th of July?
