They've made a telescope out of a cubic kilometer of the south pole's ice cap. It gathers neutrinos, and it's already taken a picture of the Milky Way.

And it would seem that someone's figured out how to use pulsars to create a gravity wave detector the size of our galaxy. Apparently they've found an awful lot of them; spacetime is referred to as 'choppy'.

We may see some interesting science done with these little toys.
