So. I'm 54 years old. I haven't been reading Sluggy since the very beginning, but not too far from it. There were probably a year or two worth of posts already up when a friend showed it to me, so I was a little past 30. I've read it multiple times through ever since.

I used to talk about the strip regularly with 3 IRL friends. One moved away and hasn't read it in years anyway. Another died in an accident back in 2016, and now the third had a heart attack and died a couple of weeks ago.

I miss talking to those friends. I know I can come here on the forums. I think I've posted maybe a dozen times since I joined the forums forever ago.

This post is kinda pointless. But yeah, it's that kind of day. I still talk to Jaime, but not about this. I miss ya Ed and Jerry.

I caught up again after not reading for a few years, a close friend had just died. I never could turn any of my friends on to Sluggy, but the more I read and reread and enjoyed what I was reading, I was getting sadder and more depressed missing my friend at the same time. It was weird. Sometimes I want to be the psycho in Wal-Mart screaming at people to stop their aimless wanderings and babblings, no I don't have any money and won't pay for your groceries, go read sluggy freelance before it's too late. Maybe it's already too late for them. Ah well.
