Homemade Bourbon ice cream.

That sounds absolutely delicious!

I was delicious. If you have an ice cream maker, or know someone who does, I highly recommend trying it.

After way too many years, I finally bought a new cable modem so as to get away from leasing one from the cable company. Which is a, "Woohoo!!"

But now for some unfathomable reason, the router -which worked perfectly fine before the change- refuses to connect to the modem no matter what I try. Which is a, "Boo!!"

Though I have been thinking about getting a new router for awhile since the one now doesn't have all that great of a signal in parts of the house. Which is a, "Woo??"

Well, I can't speak for anyone else, but of course I remember you, Jor.

Pleasure: running some napkin math on time dilation, and finding that the protagonists Jim and Aurora, in the movie Passengers, could have survived the trip to Homestead II, although they would be rather old by current standards.

Annoyance. Meds sending me into a downward spiral and doctors are screwing me around when I just want to stop taking them and start something else.

Quit my new job because mental issues were driving me up a wall and I couldn't take being there anymore.

Annoyance: There is a magazine that I subscribe to. It has some interesting articles at times, but the main reason I even get it is because the yearly price is cheap/reasonable. It is set up to auto-renew every year. It is going to expire soon and I discovered that the yearly price had nearly tripled?!? For that price it's not worth having anymore, so I cancelled it.

The bastards charged me anyway. Checked my account on their site and the option to cancel is not available. Only the renew option is available (and at the old price to boot). I contacted customer support, so hopefully they fix it.

EDIT:
They did fix it. Though I was beginning to think they were ignoring me since it was four days before they responded. Their site says they will respond in two days or less.

Annoyance: although I started 3 years after she did, my wife's gonna defend her Ph.D thesis pretty much at the same time as I will, not because she isn't hard working or smart (she's better at it than I am, I'm the one asking her for advice) but because her tutor is ridiculously, infuriatingly incompetent and has been endlessly asking her to redo the same stuff over and over again, and now that the final moment is coming, my tutor has found the opponents by himself while hers doesn't do anything but criticise every single potential opponent my wife has to find by herself. Now I'm afraid that she might not pass because her tutor asked her to redo so much stuff that it ended up being bad; and unfortunately, I can't help her in any way because her field of research (linguistics) is radically different from mine (political science).

Little pleasures: I've seen that private ventures are beginning to be interested in buying green, ecological real estate: https://tranio.com/articles/building-green-trendy-and-economical/. It's late, but better late than never, maybe it'll limit, just a little, the scale of the upcoming ecological crisis.

Annoyance: walk 30-50 miles a week on concrete, and your shoes will not last four months.

Pleasure: which actually makes it prudent to get really cheap walking shoes/sneakers, because something costing 8 times as much won't even last twice as long.

Pleasure: My dog is squeezing his head between the space of my elbow and knee while I play on my computer because he wants to snuggle.

A friend's abusive ex with a DVO's drama spills over into my personal life with threats made against my family. I spent my one day off this fortnight dealing with Police on only 3hrs sleep.
(insert the implication of language which would go against the community standards here)
