Pleasures: Finishing a book that grips you so much that you can't drag yourself out of it.

Annoyances: Finishing a book that grips you so much that you can't drag yourself out of it because you have to leave that world.

Google search "Australian Postal Survey" and you will see the cause of my annoyance.
I'm so tired guys. Anxiety and Depression are at an all time high. I'm unable to sleep well.
The constant background chatter of people arguing that other people aren't valid because of how they were born.

My pleasure is that, even after ten years, this place seems so welcoming and a comfort.

I hope you're sleeping a little better this week, Steave. I'm sorry things are rough right now.

Steave,
I just googled it. I hope you are feeling better this week as well. Best wishes from across the ocean! It's amazing how appreciation of something like Sluggy can connect the world, so I think that is my little pleasure for the week. I hope that day by day, things will improve.

Thanks guys,

This whole Cluster is going to run until November 15+

November 15 is when the result of the survey is announced but, after $122 million spent, it is still non-binding in parliament.

I expect more down days to come.

This definitely shows one problem with our "paper" money around here and why it needs to be revamped.

There is a soft-drink vending machine near where I live. You see many different people --also it's not too far from a school-- using it. I was working outside on something and there was a guy asking anybody he saw whether they had change for a five since the machine doesn't take anything larger than a one. He saw me and asked. I checked and surprisingly I did have 5 ones.

He then says, "I think I have a five," and proceeds to pull out of his front pocket, bills that are wadded up into little balls. Peels back a corner on some and finds one that has a 5 on it. We exchange and I flatten it out some and shove it into my wallet and get back to what I was working on while he goes over to the vending machine.

A few hours later I was going to pay for something. I open my wallet, and I now notice that "five" he gave me was not what I thought.

It was a fifty.

Ha! That's a pretty good oops moment.

As for my own: my chainmail is under warranty.

I'm not sure if this an annoyance or a pleasure.

Finally finished going through Homestuck. That was a lot of reading...

Also I think I was only able to follow half of what was going on. The recaps helped quite a bit, but Andrew quit doing them after Act 4 I think.

The simple pleasure of wandering about a library with no particular book in mind, simply observing the flow and patterns of subjects...coming home with quantum physics and fantasy.

That is definitely a thing which could use some editing down.

As for me, I pulled a muscle in my back. Annoying.

This qualifies as both:

Reshelving my parents' bookcases after they had their floors finished. My parents have 25 book cases. I actually enjoy organizing books, but they have 25 book cases.

Pleasure:
Playing a video game (Infinifactory) and finishing the last level of the game with forty hours of game time put into it, and expecting to see the credits, and...

...then discovering that was just the first half of the game! There is much more to go! In a good way.

Annoyance:
Received a coupon code (with a pretty good value) for Amazon that had to be used before the end of last year, BUT it could only be used on things sold by Amazon, not just fulfilled by Amazon. Most things on there are merely fulfilled by them.

The electric pole near my house broke down, dropped it's power line, and started a fire in the woods next to my house.

The fire is out now but I won't have electricity until tomorrow.
