The Hobbit has begun filming here in Kiwiland.

A friend of mine just got a call back as an extra for the role of an elf, and another friend is working in makeup. So yay!

yes, yes, I heard his voice when I typed it too. Futarama is awesome. But Hobbit - by the same people that did LOTR, in the same place as LOTR, that is even more awesome. It's ours, precious.

I didn't, of course, I've only ever watched Bender's Game and I'm not really a Futurama person.
