Hi.
I'm Christopher, and I won't ever fully be able to describe what Sluggy Freelance once meant to me.
I was "Home-Schooled" as a kid, which was really just a lie my parents told. I was isolated so that I could be made to work, and endure severe levels of abuse. I found Sluggy in the early 2000's as I was going into what would have been my High School years, and it's one of the things that kept me going. We moved right after I was pulled out of school, and I didn't really have friends... but I had Torg and his friends.
Fast forward years, decades even, at this point... and all of that is well behind me. I'm actually living a life I could only dream of back then. Recently I was watching Army of Darkness with my wife, and all I could think about was Sluggy. It set off a chain reaction of memories and feelings and the other night I decided to see if it was still online. Imagine my surprise that it's not only online... but still going. Granted, to a lesser output level, but frankly how Pete Abrams put out that much content in the first place is astonishing.
I actually spent some years working on a hand-drawn comic book before my creative partner up and quit. It still remains half-unfinished... likely won't ever see the light of day... but as you can imagine a lot of inspiration came from Sluggy Freelance.
I have little personal Sluggy project to share that I was working on all weekend, so I look forward to approval on the boards, as I'm eager to see what people think.
In any case, I'm just so happy this is still here.

Welcome to the cult forum SkyHighGam3r.
Indeed it is still chugging along. Pete will never rest. The Glowing One's mind is filled with too many crazy shenanigans to ever run out of ideas. Also his time management is horrible.
Figures about, "three years to wrap everything up." I think that was at least five years ago...
Anyway, we would be delighted to see your Sluggy project. Maybe even some of the Pesterers might slither out of their holes to pester you for poetry while seeing what you have been working on.
Well, enjoy your stay.

That's quite a story! We're so glad to have you. Don't mind Zill, he's (mostly) harmless...
You know? Since you have an unfinished Sluggy project, I will forego the traditional P E S T E R and welcome you to the C.....lique.
Oh! Almost forgot. It's dangerous to go alone! take this laser cannon
