I first became aware of Sluggy Freelance some time around 2004. I've read a lot of webcomics, and it's hard to avoid hearing about this one when you do that. Specifically it was impossible to avoid learning about the switchblade-wielding bunny rabbit. I held off getting into it at the time because, gosh, what a long archive, it's like seven years' worth, that'll take me a while to get through.

Ah ha ha ha. Twenty-six years' worth sure did.

Adding some detail to prove I've read the comic: for quite a while now I've been wondering when or if we're going to see more of the Dimension of Pain. Psyk's promotion to Psykosis came with a "The Beginning" caption, and later there was the indication they were a bad future stemming from the NoFun Legacy Group Mutants, but I think we're coming up on ten years since we last saw the DoP. (Of course, if they do come back, I doubt it would be the longest wait for a payoff we would have ever gotten with this strip. One of the final 8 Bit Theater strips is titled "Longest Set Up In Webcomic History" and I think if any webcomic could beat that, it's Sluggy Freelance, if it hasn't already.)

Hello!

Would also love to see DoP again, but I get the impression Pete kind of closed the book on those characters. Who could say? I’d even love to see a once-off “meanwhile…” strip as filler.

Also, here’s a 23’ish year old setup, though I’m sure it wasn’t planned:

I'd say the resolution of the OASIS overarching plot is pretty high up there already.
