Welp, looks like you nailed this one.

It's not that uncommon an expression for someone to call something "their time" when referring to their tenure in a certain position or at a certain place. I think it's more of a stretch to assume "her time" meant when she was created than it is to think it meant her time as ruler of Halloween.

Is this sequence just a drawn out way of finally telling us Gwynn's last name?

Classic. I think it's just a statue sculpted for her. I'm not so sure... Siphaniana Liberliganus wrote: I actually think my grandmother Alligia had this tribute commissioned in case of her sudden death. This statement, following the comic where Allie spoke of the need to be immortal, makes me suspect that CodeBlack may be onto something. I wonder if the binding spell works as well on stone as it does on paper?

I'm just looking at the covers of the books in this arc and can't help but noticing that the front cover of the book of the Ugly is a big stylized U. We've got the B that keeps showing up that may or not be the B that is on the book of the Bhad's frontcover and we've got the book of Gud, have we seen the front cover of that in the Bug squisher wars? Do the three of them arrange to spell BUG? Allie (who was awesome crazy) did say that destroying the book of the Bhad was off the table because of Soco's plan. Are the three books supposed to work together to combo counter the book of E-ville? Maybe with the book of the Ugly providing the raw fuel from the trapped deamons (since Soco was using Ozzid as a well of power) the book of the Bhad to provide the aggressive power, and the book of Gud providing defence and serenity against the bug's corruption. swmartian wrote: GUIGUI wrote: CodeBlack wrote: So, from the looks of that statue... Okay, now https://archives.sluggy.com/book.php?ch ... 2021-03-18 we've got a clear call-back to https://archives.sluggy.com/book.php?ch ... 1999-01-17What I'm really wondering is this. We have had Gwynn looking just like a slightly shorter and a lot paler version of Siphaniana. Now we have this character literally named after Siphaniana whom the book is also in love with. She doesn't look exactly like Siphaniana or Gwynn, but she also looks younger - maybe she's supposed to look like how they looked when they were younger? Maybe she's another, earlier reincarnation-or-whatever-the-heck-Gwynn-is of Siphaniana.

Well, Farahn confirms that theory at least to the degree that Gwynn is confirmed. I'm not convinced that Farahn knows what he's talking about or even that he necessarily believes what he's saying.

Is anyone else getting a feeling that the expedition that the main cast is on to help Gwynn add pages back into Book will not be to their benefit???

It makes me doubt Gwynn is actually the re-incarnation of the queen and make me think Farhan has been BSing his way into freedom.
