I think Pete should pick a semidecent place to quit with Oceans Unmoving, without killing the story. Then he could do Meanwhile In Timeless Space stories whenever he gets burned out doing the regular strip. It'd make great filler.

I genuinely like this idea. I doubt it'd happen though.
However... if it's timeless space, can you really use the word "Meanwhile"?

can you use meanwhile? Well, pete once used the segue "meanwhile in the '80s" around the time of the carniverous smurf, so I think it should fly. And as long as Pete's writing it, "meanwhile in timeless space" stories would make me very happy, particularly if at some time years hence the events in timless space tie into another main story line.

But can it be "meanwhile" if timeless space is timeless? All of timeless space occurs meanwhile.

If all of Timeless Space is Meanwhile, then why couldb't Pete do Meanwhile in Timeless Space? It wouldn't be very specific, but then Pete seldom is.
