I don't usually follow the goings on at Comixpedia, but another comic linked to a recently started Webcomics Wikipedia (an online encyclopedia based of the popular wiki format of user driven content updates)

I searched and of course they have a Sluggy Freelance entry. :kiki:

Perhaps people from the boards would be interested in contributing content to make it a truly exhaustive and comprehensive entry.

I was thinking that, too. It came from Wikipedia, I think, so it's pretty good, but if y'all want to flock on over and see if there's something you can add, that would be nifty.

There used to be a Sluggy Wiki. I don't know what happened to it or if it still exists, though.

Every once in a while, I raise my voice in a plantive cry for the return of SluggyWiki. But I am never heeded.

*sigh*

I suspect it got wiped somewhere along the way.

I think that should be on the main page, instead of the rather outdated summary it currently links to.

There's the Sluggy Wikipedia article; it's exactly the same as the other article linked, though.

I've been meaning to start articles on Torg, Riff, Zoe, etc., but I don't feel like signing up, even though it's free. At least, I assume you have to be a member to start new articles.

Well most of the links in the regular Wikipedia version work or link to other articles...

Actually, I'm pretty sure that you don't.

Anyone can create or edit any article at any time. Wikipedia runs on the theory that if some wacko brutally falsifies a page, some good guy will run in and restore it. It's a touch dangerous, which is why many people prefer more authenticatable encyclopedias, but it still works fine. They have an "about" page that explains their philosophy a bit more.

Incidentally, there's not much need to start separate articles for Torg and Riff. Most major characters (and a good deal of minor ones) are on the "Characters of Sluggy Freelance" entry (linked from main page).

Oh, hehe, I didn't even notice the link to that page. I just thought it'd be cool to have individually-linked pages for each character, like some other works of fiction have on the site. Plus, it'd give me something to do.

For others who may have missed it.

The major villains section of that article could use some editing. Crabtree and the Evil aren't really major villains by any stretch, and Schlock's not a villain at all, just a very, very reluctant hero.

A lot of it's just artifacts from when the site was simply divided into "Good Guys" and "Bad Guys."
