Actually, that wasn't Pete. It was a Joe Sunday filler strip. Still, awesome to see it become a reality in the strip. I had forgotten all about it until you linked back.

Don't forget Kiki used the wings in the very first vampire arc. So that comic could just be a result of that. edit: I'm not saying Pete doesn't plan ahead. The pinhole to the Dimension of Lame is proof enough of that, but the Ferret wings had been used previously.

Pete doesn't plan 10 years ahead. His plotlines simply take 9 years longer than expected to even BEGIN resolving. :)
Flying Kiki also searched for Bun Bun after his death using the wings, astounding everyone. I THINK they also showed up in the Aylee/Desert Alien Cult Compound plotline. Though Riff began hiding them VERY carefully for safety reasons.

The way Kusari said it, it sounded like Torg was on his way to hC's front door with an army of Nofun mutants armed with Crushestro weapons. http://www.sluggy.com/comics/archives/daily/20110117Yeah, I tossed this to Pete in the News Items in case he needs to do some cross-checking. Hereticorp DID seem way more caught off guard that summer than expected... though the other 2 companies WERE engaging in corporate R&D warfare, just not a direct attack, at that point.
