Schlock is still majority shareholder: to be CEO again, all he has to do is convene the board and vote for himself. This may actually be easier than it sounds. Board members in the building will be dead, and dead people are probably subtracted from the quorum required for board activity to be binding. If there are any others, hC's bylaws obviously allow teleconferencing (Schlock wasn't physically present when he took over the first time). If there aren't any others, it's even easier because a one-man board is always convened.

P.S.: Chen for His Masterness. :)

That's what I was thinking.

Shlock knows Kusari obeys the CEO --that's how he took power over Hereti Corp initially, remember? He knew once he legally controlled HC, he also controlled Kusari.

I don't know how he knew that, however.

That's not proof. He gave orders to everyone he intended to keep.

Your linked comic shows how he can get out of it, though, once his shock wears off.

Strictly I think Chen should have said "kill everyone in this building, save for Daedalus Hereti, myself and yourself"

I don't think Kusari is going to take it that literally.

To be fair, Chen said Shlock is the target, but kill everyone. So she killed everyone who got in her way to going to where shlock is, but didn't kill Chen because he wasn't in her way... ...yet

I believe that Kusari can't kill herself and can't kill the CEO.
"No Self Terminate."
"Objective Number 4."

He was one of the closest people to her before he gave the order about Schlock specifically.

I had this exact same thought this morning, while thinking of Sluggy (eh, why not?), but I'm glad someone got there much sooner. I'm thinking that's why Schlock is Kusari's primary target: Chen wanted him dead before he (Schlock) thought of that. That would also explain why, after he (obviously) regains power, Schlock keeps Kusari at a distance.
