Pumpkin head, turkey, groundhog, etc. they’re not gods, but certainly…. Something. Lesser known deities? We’re still waiting for a classification.

I'm curious about Mrs. Claus, too, BUT I'm also curious about the big guy himself. It seems reasonable to assume that Santa is the Krig (plus that whole "Kris Kringle" thing fits) -- but if so, how was an alien infection -- coupled with Nerf toxicity -- able to take him down?

Santa is certainly the Krig, yup. I'm gonna chalk aliens and nerf toxicity up to early-years plot device that won't be revisited. Further analysis would require a deep archive dive looking for loose connection points, but I wouldn't even know where to begin. We have no aliens at present. Except the unrelated obvious

How the Earth moved on from the gods of Mohkadun to the Holiday royalty was never made clear to us, but Basphomy had no "leftover" holiday powers when she died (as tube_rat reminded us). Once upon a time, she was apparently the queen of the Lemuralia Festival, which in time apparently evolved into Halloween. At some point, she lost the power of Halloween without being killed (IIRC, she was voted off?) to the pumpkin-headed king. She'd been scheming to get it back ever since.

Well, nice to know I managed to turn a wild swing and a miss into a decent bunt... Not to belabor a point, but:

Pete may lie to us, but he generally doesn't drop stuff like this in and then forget that he did so. There must be a reason that he had Jzaxil say this. And yet, I don't see him wasting time on Gwynn "going mad" (any more than usual). I'm quite curious how he will play this out...

But if she does learn enough about dreamscapes to contact Allie, then she should know enough to be able to enter Riff's.

FWIW, I pointed out the "mad but not much" bit a while back. Gwynn has already read some of the demon books -- at least enough to be able to warn Zoe that it was ugly stuff and she shouldn't even touch them.

She absolutely has her own abilities as she proved to Gwynn just before booking it. But we have not seen anywhere else where powers transfer highlander style except by holiday rules. Even Lady Tomb had to spend the time reading and learning her magic which I think is a more likely avenue for Gwynn.

I definitely could be wrong. The eyes are just very suspicious, is all ;) She didn't physically change when destroying all those other demons. And we saw Bunbun change appearance with every holiday he snagged. We'll see what's up eventually, I guess! There's SOME sort of twist waiting to be undone.

Gwynn killed a LOT of people over the past year, all connected to the Moon Twin. It could be any of them that Mrs Claus is upset over. That picture we are seeing could be Mrs Claus when she was younger, and someone next to her that she is referring to. I AM curious to see who she is referring to. I can't believe that it would be one of the hag sisters.

It could also truly be Basphomy. Even though Basphomy tortured Mrs Claus when BunBun was preparing to take over Christmas, maybe there is something more there?

For all we know, Basphomy could have originally been the human/fey/deity/whatever sister of Mrs Clause, before she was "made" by Dunoloa.

I'm just throwing every idea at the wall, though, mind you.

Whom has she killed? I know (probably) she's burned some demons, but what people? She's only snipped some memories associated with Dunuloa.

This strip basically confirms that Santa is not only the Krig but also Zeus, but it doesn't stop there. Zeus would be the picture on the left. The picture next to that confirms that Santa is also Odin. This makes a lot of sense because Santa is believed to be derived from Odin IRL. The third picture.....uh I'm not really sure? Krampus? Idk. Does anyone know who is depicted in the third picture? By googling deity with deer antlers I came across Cernunnos. Maybe?

Also, are we about to finally get the big Santa and Bun-Bun rematch I've been waiting for what like 2 decades to see?
