I could easily see Basphomy being written out this way. She had plenty of story arc in the past. We don’t need to see her wage war on Halloween again. She can be sacrificed now to move along the plot!

It still says nothing of the head tilters though!

You misinterpreted what I said. The two possibilities I was responding to was that either Gwynn will die soon, which seems unlikely until we get Riff back, or that Basphomy is not really dead.

It was Basphomy not really being dead that I thought would be a cheap way out, not her actually being dead.

Gwynn will have to deal with Dunuloa somehow, though. Count on it.

Nah, I’m just OK with her being gone. :bunbun: She had her story arcs, came back and got Gwynn up to speed and connected to the moon for whatever comes next…. It was neat but I’m good to see her off now!

Basphomy should have taken the opening Gwen gave her to ask what Gwen wanted.
Attacking someone who has a gun to your head isn't smart.

But Gwen now has Gods as enemies, and that sounds suicidal too.

How likely is this to push her into aligning with Symachus (assuming the opportunity were to arise)?
On the surface, he seems to have a lot in common with her; he has a vendetta against the Mokhadun gods, he (presumably) wants to get rid of PP, and he has effectively lost his human form.

If Gwynn joined Symachus, they would be well and truly effed. As is, they're underpowered to face him without Chaz. She's the only one with magical ability strong enough to remotely challenge him and I doubt it would be strong enough if it came to a head to head match, but they lose a lot of their versatility for avoiding such confrontations without Gwynn's magic and somehow I doubt Bun-Bun can just switchblade the problem away, though I'll give him an A for effort if he actually makes any effort.

I'm still wondering where Bun Bun actually is. I think we still haven't seen him since at least the Oceanus arc (because I really don't think he was the one who accompanied them).

I refer you to his previous title, “God of naps”.

Then again, he DID recover his diamonds, right? Could just as easily be alfalfa and baywatch.

They explained his odd behavior in that arc already. I'm buying it. His being replaced by someone else and still having that explanation would be much stranger.

So, I, uh... just went back through the archives and realized I missed that part.

Probably because of the Kiki song.

I would normally agree with this assessment except Gwynn is our only hope for ever seeing Riff again. Basphomy not being dead wouldn't be terrible, but at this point it feels like it would be a cheap way out. Maybe Pete has a more clever way of dealing with that possibility than how I'm imagining it...

He does. I hadn't counted on the whole thing being an actual dream... Touché. Who knew Gwynn could give herself fear dreams better than Bas could?

Does anyone have an explanation for Gwynn's eyes?

That happens when you transition to the Sith.
