I totally thought that we'd get into a demon-host hostage situation with Meander getting possessed and then Torg/Zoe/Bunbun having to confront that, but that is not at all what is happening.

We all wondering what tipped Torg off. Is it that Meander mentioned Zoe when Zoe said that she wouldn't be attending the event and then got a small cut... and yet she still at this event but without the cut. But Torg did say that felt bad for "leaving us" chained to the wall. But I guess he could have been talking about himself and Zoe in the abstract.
Or is it the foster parents or wanting a hug.
Guess I need to look harder.

Torg pushing Meander away reminds me of when he pushed Slaw away and said 'code boom' after he thought Slaw was (similar to) Oasis.

Meander can clearly see Zoe there (and also saw her earlier at the door), so I don't know how anything Zoe might have said about not being there could have tipped him off that Meander's possessed. Maybe he caught a glimpse of Jake. Still seems like a bit of a leap, but idk. The hug thing was kind of weird, but weird enough to know she was possessed by the ferryman? Torg barely even knows Meander really.

I suppose it's also possible that Torg was just bluffing to see how she would react. The ka-click confirmed it.

The only thing that seems to make sense, is Meander commenting about her foster parents. The hug doesn't seem like a good reason for that reaction. But I don't think it's what she said. It's what Torg said.

The demons did say, they didn't know how the gang was figuring out who was possessed. If Torg says something like, "That one is a demon! Book them Zoe!" The demon most likely is going to blow its cover thinking it's been caught.

I wonder if somehow Torg had a new way to sense demons.

My guess: Torgzzid (Torg is posessed by Ozzid who is doing the detection)

I think Torg would not have such control of himself if he was hosting Ozzid.

The "yell and see how they react" hypothesis is my preferred line here (coupled with Meander's somewhat out-of-character response). I love how Torg goes in for the hug first, to protect Zoe just in case.

I'll note that Torg was also the one who yelled about demons escaping when Karen was running out. This could alternatively indicate that Torg has some way of sensing them or that Torg has been employing the "yell and see" strategy throughout the whole house. I do like the "yell and see" hypothesis. It fits with Karen, because she did react, and it could also explain the "I'm sorry" as a preemptive apology for the tactic if he was wrong.

There isn't much to back that up, but Meander is giving me the vibe that she isn't much of a contact person and prefer not to be hold.

Interesting theories that the demon host who is possessing someone can instantly tell that another person is also possessed. And Tog can allow himself to be possessed at will.
But....
when demon Skips first met possessed Meander he was unable to tell that Meander was possessed (this was so long ago I can barely remember it, or was it the other way around). And it wasn't until Meander started talking that Torg appeared to figure out that Meanders was possessed.

For what it’s worth, I didn’t think this was speccy at all since Meander-demon already got busted. I found it painfully obvious too.


Meander-demon instantly wanted a hug from the book holder.. the biggest threat. Asking to switch hugs right away is suspicious. The foster-parents thing is super suspect, and Torg and Zoe are ALREADY suspicious of every single person being possessed. They got everyone. Why would Meander be able to sneak on by?

Anyway. Knifey-knife time!
