Also, I'm not sure if those faces we see are all the demons the ferryman has left, but if they are, there must be a few possessed we haven't seen yet.

Oh, for sure. I really hope she's not already or soon-to-be-possessed, but it's not a great bet to make right now.

Pure wild speculation time: Karen is actually the host of a demon, but on a consensual basis, like Kiki or Torg with Ozzid, when he want to have extra strength.

Going further on that theory. What if the demon she is the host of tamed like Ozzid? She isn't there to help but stop it somehow?

If that were the case, I would have thought that maybe her demon would have known more about what is going on. Karen seems clueless as to what is happening.

Interesting about the "newbie-possessor." I had assumed that the ferryman was "ferrying" in the demons from some place (e.g., Hell), but is it possible that he's birthing them instead?

It could just mean they're new to this plane. Then again, we don't really know where they come from, so... who knows?

I was thinking that it meant they were completely new to possessing humans. Which might explain the weird eyeballs thing. But it's also interesting to think that maybe he is creating them? Birthing them? Who knows. I mean....how do new demons get created anyway? I didn't think it was the same was as new humans. (um, ew).


I am guessing that the reason the Basement is locked is because the Ferryman wants it off-limits. Which would mean that the Hand of Glory is down there. And maybe Meander can use it to remove the spell on the house. That is my hope.

Weren't demons from the Never?

No. Demons are from hell, dragons are from heck.

I wonder what is going to happen when Zoe tries to 'bookify' Jake the Ferryman ... he's got his own demon and four others riding along!

Will it be all five at once? Will she get the 'dominant' one and then one of the others gets his body and keeps hold of the other three? Will all four just get released into our world?

I speculate Friday's comic will end with Torg and Zoe just figuring out they're trying to corral more than one demon at once ...

I guess, but surely they know that the ferryman may still have multiple demons with him.

Interesting that the formerly emoji-like demons now seem to have their own distinct forms.

It could be that the emoji form is because they're "compressed" in the Ferryman. Then when they're let out, their full form is expressed.

Or, until they possess someone, they don't start gaining defining traits. The demons seem young to me, so they wouldn't have much time to evolve into their "adult" form.

Or or, Pete didn't feel like getting too complicated with how many the Ferryman is carrying. Just good enough to represent how many are still inside. He can later think about how they look.
