Wednesday just wants to see what Torzid is capable of. Showing his strength in subduing the test subject would be a good start. Failing pathetically is also an acceptable option. ---- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Remember to vote on the outcome of Torzid's battle.

Convenient translation of the Latin bits*: Panel 3: "Little Sith Book-tier? (Will you) Vivisect all here now?" Panel 6: "(Let's) Tune them up, Ozzid"
*YMMV

Glad to see her being finally rescued from a fate she (mostly) didn't deserve.

Wait, I just realised something, Borderline spec, but now that Gwynn&co have learned that Ozzid is actually linked to the Liberliganus family, they might actually be curious enough to learn what exactly happened to Alligia that lead him to serve the next person of her lineage.

I can understand this even without knowing Latin:
"Siphaniana Bookbinder? You are ALIVE after all this TIME?"
"Is it you, Ozzid?"

Aw. Not only is this heartwarming, but it's funny (scary) that "Ozzid's strength" wouldn't have been enough (and frankly, I'm surprised Gwynn even got her mouth free to put Siphy back last time).
This opens up all sorts of potential plot directions.
Also, I wonder how far back Ozzid's connection goes. Does it start with Quint? Because I'm guessing he's the most likely person to have bound him to the family's service.
Beyond that, I REALLY want some exposition about Ozzid's backstory.

Well, it definitely at least goes back to Quint because we saw him use a spell to forcibly make Ozzid possess him. Could it go back further? I guess, but I got the impression that the dabbling in controlled demonic possessions started with him. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that an affinity for the magical goes further back in their line, but I think Ozzid probably began his service with Quint.
Also, I feel like they shouldn't be so surprised to learn Ozzid knew the book girl, considering he came from the same place she did, which they ought to know because Kiki returned on her own from that place possessed by Ozzid.

With all the incarnations, I sure could go for a R.E.C.A.P. of who's who in the Allie/Siphy bloodline.
Or just more time to go through those ref links, I suppose.

Silverwalker wrote: "Siphaniana Bookbinder? You are ALIVE after all this TIME?" Pretty clear, yes, but I have my doubts about the grammar. It sounds a lot like an English idiom in Latin words. I wonder whether Ozzid was always able to pop out of a host at will after the possession-forcing spell has been used, or whether that happened because his bond to the Liberliganus family overrode the possession spell.

We saw him partially pop out in the previous page; so it's the former.

I totally called multiple things! I knew it was going to be Siphy II! And I figured her and Ozzid would recognize each other and reconnect at some point! Although I didn't realize it would be through Ozzid's possession of someone.
I wonder what details Siphy can provide. Edda is the one they REALLY need to talk to. I wonder if her pages still exist at Wilcott's mansion or if he cleaned those up? And if it would matter either way? (If she is truly dead at the hands...er...blade of Chaz)
