It's Friday. You know what that means? It's SPLORTING TIME! All the cool human demon hosts are doing it. So why continue being a square (human), when you can be a hollowed out demon meat puppet that will eventually become a discarded blob of flesh instead? Have we ever encountered another demon like Ozzid? He's subject to some of the same root compulsions (like not being drawn to the demon meet) but he's continually shown not only subjection to his human host, but (seemingly) an actual desire to help.

Not sure why Ozzid isn't thinking about Kiki freeing herself and then disrupting the circle from the OUTSIDE? Ozzid is smart enough for that, even if the other demons (and Kiki) aren't.

Ozzid has already suggested that Kiki and he separate, so that she can free herself. Leaving him trapped here in the cave with the rest of the demons, awaiting their fate. If, instead of running away, Kiki disturbs the spell circles, then all the demons are free to go. Then she and Ozzid can rejoin and fly away from there. SO much faster. No Wizard involved. Plus the other three demons can leave. Not that I guess we want them to. Still, it is an option.
