And the tension ramps up to 11. Kiki's in trouble!

I'm starting to really dislike the wizard guy and his Sinister Laugh spell he overuses.

Well that was interesting. I wonder what the wizard intends to do with the trapped demons.

Kiki is trapped because of Ozzid, but if Ozzid unpossesses her, she can just leave the circle...just like Aylee did when Lacey let her go in the Antiquarium. But not sure what kind of help Kiki can go for, being way out in these remote woods. Still, she would be free to do SOMETHING. Maybe go bite at the heels of that dang wizard. Who knows.

While trapping demons is always a good thing, I am not sure this wizard dude has good intentions.

I was just going to say the same thing but you posted while I was typing it up lol. We've seen how fragile these circles can be. Unless this one is different Kiki should be able to break it easily. I'm curious how the wizard knew to prepare exactly 4 circles.

A kooky wizard with a handicap (other team already imprisoned)
vs.
a bunch of demons that were a year too slow to make it to the demon ritual. And kiki.

...I don't know who to place my bets on. Anyone?

What do you mean? Ozzid and Olebelle made it at the correct time. Just the other two were a year late.

We know them well enough already so didn't think it was necessary, but sure, let's hit them up with a ref, too. Those two were relegated to the Lil' demon bael pit.. Otherwise known as the kiddie pool.

Just sayin'. I'm looking forward to this battle of wits. :kiki: :sam: :bert:

Yeah, I'm a bit confused there, too. Our perspective keeps shifting. So, why we didn't see the circles for Kiki/Ozzid and Tabby at first could be understandable. But in panel 4, we ought to be able to see Harry's circle, but we don't. It's like the circles are showing up after the fact?

And... I don't know about Kiki getting out, but Olebelle looks like he's got something planned in that last panel...?

Maybe they're hidden until stepped in or something.

The wizard knew about Harry and Tabby. Later when possessing Harry, he could have been hidden and seen Kiki and Olebelle were flying around. So I don't see why it would that strange that he would know to make four circles while using Harry. As for how fragile the circles are, Gwynn made hers on grass and dirt, which would not take much to break, while these might be on stone. Also three demons were thrown into the center of the circles, while Harry just walked in without stepping on the runes.

What do you mean, "we didn't see the circles?" Three inactive circles are clearly on the ground before the demons are put in them. Every panel showing the floor of the cave has them.

On your prodding, I do see them now. But I would not say I "clearly" see them. Until the circles are occupied, the contrast between them and the surrounding blackness is very minimal, not enough for aging eyes to see them "clearly". But thank you for clearing the issue up for me. At least I'm no longer 'confused elderly,' just 'blind elderly'. LOL

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing. They ARE there, but they are hard to see. But then, it IS a dark cave. I figured that is why, and that is why Harry led them to a cave.

It IS odd that four circles were ready to go, and kind of the right size. But then, possessed Harry could have been spying on them, and then ran off to prepare things. Or maybe there are a lot more in there that we don't see. Those are just the four that we see. WHO KNOWS.

I don't think Ollebelle looks like she is planning anything, just peering at Harry.

Kiki is good at accidentally fixing things, so let's hope that happens here.
