I think the point was that if separation from the planet was the key, then any other dimension would probably have that effect... whereas since it's the web restricting him (or so the mythology says), the result would probably be the opposite.

Okay, but we know from 4U City that the web exists in other dimensions, so I don't really see this as a likely result of just any dimension hop.

To be honest, I’m not even sure what “this” is anymore. KaBob said there was no point blasting him elsewhere because it wouldn’t de-power him.
