Mrs Claus gave a nice abridged origin story. AAAAND confirmed that she's of Fey origin. And royalty, at that!

I'm sure this didn't really scratch the surface of the secrets mentioned. But Gwynn potentially knows more of Bunbun's past now than he seems to remember!

It's possible that the there's an analogy here between the Aesir and "gods", and the Vanir and "fey". In the Northern European legends, Odin / Wotan initially has a war against the Vanir, who are known for their mastery of magic, but also known for farming and hunting -- Vanaheim is supposed to be a land of great abundance. Ultimately he negotiates a peace in which he marries Freya / Frigg.
