Tuesday can't come up with anything interesting, cursed, or witty to say. Pete needs to give it more to work with. ---- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Remember to vote for...whatever.

Is this how Gwynn first learns that Santa is real. Lol.

She is also learning about the feud between Santa and Bun-Bun.
I really wonder what "granting life" entail to. What was Bast before she was Basphomy, if she wasn't alive?

I really like imagining that Gwynn is reading this as a comic!

I love how Huginn and Muninn, Odin's ravens of Thought and Memory, show in the background of the first panel.
But who's the third? Guessing would be spec, so that's for another forum!

I just noticed that Gwynn's hair roll up like a scroll of paper. Nice touch.

Yeah, what Gwynn said!
And yes, it's those extra "touches" of ravens and curled hair along with "What the hell....?" that make Sluggy special and keep me coming back. And yet I'd miss most or all of them without other Sluggites pointing them out. Thanks, guys and gals!

Mrs Claus gave a nice abridged origin story. AAAAND confirmed that she's of Fey origin. And royalty, at that! I'm sure this didn't really scratch the surface of the secrets mentioned. But Gwynn potentially knows more of Bunbun's past now than he seems to remember!

And this is what we call LORE folks, that we're still learning new lore after decades of comics is amazing.

Oh my. I wonder if we're finally going to get an arc about when the earlier Deus Ex Ova were used? Or at least the second one, which sounds like it's tangled up with both the transition from Bast to Basphomy, and the transition from Sluggy to Bunbun...
Referencing a conversation from MORE THAN TWENTY YEARS AGO is quite the flex.

It's possible that the there's an analogy here between the Aesir and "gods", and the Vanir and "fey". In the Northern European legends, Odin / Wotan initially has a war against the Vanir, who are known for their mastery of magic, but also known for farming and hunting -- Vanaheim is supposed to be a land of great abundance. Ultimately he negotiates a peace in which he marries Freya / Frigg.
