Oh crap! It's the kid from the beginning of this arc! That gets lost in the Darkest Wood! I had assumed that the mushroom hag had gotten him. Maybe she did. I wonder what the crystal ball is doing, why it's showing him to the gang.

And....is he actually interacting with Gwynn/the ball? Or is this just showing his interaction with someone else?

And as someone else brought up, how does Gwynn know this will actually show her what is going on with Riff and PP? I would assume she has done a lot of research and got enough info to determine this would help, but still...seems like a long shot.

OMG!!! I just noticed something!!!!! Look at this strip, panel 1, and see if the person standing next to Riff is familiar???
It's the boy! He has the F on his hat and the cat on his shirt! I was thinking that the boy in the woods at the beginning of this arc was from recently in the timeline, but maybe it was from YEARS ago...Oh...this should go in spec...but...there he is, RIGHT THERE in Riff's memory book!! AND...Torg knows him! He is in one of the pictures with Riff and the boy!! Which is why Torg is saying "Wait...What?!". HOLY CRAP!!! It was just dumb luck that I happened to be going back through these strips, and caught that.

So that kid was a kid when Riff was a kid ?? And then he shows up in the Monstrous Wood, still a kid, but Riff is an adult?

The crystal ball seems to be showing his interaction with the mushroom hag from the hag's point of view.
