It's unexpected and convenient that the book of Ugly works on her.

It's exactly what happened to the mushroom hag, who is also fey (and they tested it on Sam as well, who is a vampire). Allie even used it on Basphomy; why is it so surprising that it worked on Mouche?

Hell, it worked on Torg's pants, so it's apparently not very fussy.

It has been established that the book works on Fey too since they captured the Mushroom hag:

Though they actually had some doubt it would actually work as they only conclude it can actually work on Fey afterwards (and also notice the Feys seem to have distinctive symbols when put in the book):

Zoë still express worries afterwards that protective wards against demons might not be effective against Feys:

But so far, so good.

Now the little symbols Zoë noticed on Sam and the Mushroom hag when they were in the book seem to be absent for Mouche. I don't know if it is meaningful or something Pete forgot, but the real question is:
Is Torg's pant of Demonic nature, or of Fey nature?

Oh yeah, Mouche had her own special symbol as well. It's almost like the gods' constructs have their own category system.

Still doesn't explain the pants, though.

And we know that Gwynn has NO problems eliminating demons to extract more information. So a demon like Mouche should totally be destroyed. No keeping that one around.

this must be how she keeps the book of ughlee with enough free pages for all the demon hunting

I would support that solution.

Also, it keeps anyone else from using them for their own sinister purposes (any more must be said in Spec).
