Context matters. I’m generally helpful IRL, but tell jokes/small lies for poop and giggles. This changes as do my relationships with people.

trust Chaz, but verify. Unless he’s recently been pissed off. The problem is it’s hard to verify without experimenting:) CHOP HIM DOWN!

This is a fair ask. This is ZHOAS all over again.

Well, he doesn't explicitly says "only", but yeah, as I pointed out earlier, Chaz is effectively an unreliable source of information. Though him being activated by the blood of the innocent has been fairly consistent. Same with how deadly his wounds can be when activated. Almost.

We still don't know what criteria Chaz uses to assess "innocence" though, so it's a little tough to judge reliability beyond knowing that some people's blood works and others don't. I guess the people who have worked lean more toward what would generally be called innocent over those that don't, but considering we know very little about many of the people whose blood has powered Chaz, it's a tough call.

It seems like the key consideration is whether they intentionally harm others for their own gain. Oasis and Kusari do loads of harm, but up until recently, they had no true control over those actions. Oasis gained control all at once, and Kusari's awakening has been more gradual -- like a child learning.

Then again, that's just a guess.
