Tombsy's plan might have failed. Wilcott's plan failed sideways. The Envoy's plan is incomplete. Francis' plan is to be a limo. Gwynn's plan is sorta working. The Strakoi's plans are flexible. Farahn's plan is being oblivious. BunBun's plan is to leave. Chilus' plan is in danger. Lord Poopy's plan is to wait. Tuesday's plan is in progress. Kira's plan has been cut down. Bleacher Demons' plans are to scream. Riff's plan is to check his notes. Olebella's plan is CLAOWS! Sam's plan doesn't exist. Torg's plan could end very badly. Jzaxil's plan is not very helpful. ---------- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Please remember to vote every day until the world ends.

I knew someone was gonna end up in the circle, but I expected it to be Torg or Chaz.

This is why we don't play around with evil or try to betray mankind itself to the demons that would destroy us.
People that do that just don't play nice >:(

Honestly, Wilcott is getting what he deserves here. I do wonder how Riff is going to take it. I don't doubt he would have killed his father to prevent the rise of K'Z'K. It will be interesting to see how he handles someone ELSE doing it...

So long, Wilcott, you deserved better? maybe? A little? Your final acts on this world was trying to stop the end of the world and saving those you care about. From threats you helped to create in the first place. Not sure how much it makes up for it, but maybe it does a little. Who am I to say.
Anyway, it looks like for Tombsy, everything is still going according to plan, for an arguable meaning of the words "according" and "plan".
I think now is a good time to remind you all that spell made with Death magic are extremely resilient and very hard to counter or undo.

His caring about Riff has always been tangential or secondary to his main plan, though. I don't know how much of Wilcott's words Riff heard, so he may not know that his dad tried to save him. This has been a rollercoaster though!

I wonder what is this round shape partially obstructing the bottom panels, there, and if it's meant to be abstract or more substantial...

Isn't Jzaxil the slightest bit interested in survival? Is Jzaxil unable to teleport without an order from Cynthia?

Farewell, Wilcott. I'm disappointed we didn't get to see more of your redemption, but dude... what the heck. You should have known better than to think betraying humanity was going to work out well. Rombobjörn wrote: Isn't Jzaxil the slightest bit interested in survival? Is Jzaxil unable to teleport without an order from Cynthia? I don't think he's worried about the energy to be unleashed. He can do what he wants, when he wants. So that's why the envoy would have died either way. Dude never even got to hear that he'd been double-crossed. We still have no idea why Tombsy is okay with destroying the spark (i.e. all human life), since from what we can tell, she is neither demon nor vampire -- and to this point, we have no tragic backstory to explain why she would be a nihilist. The pieces still haven't landed. I do wonder where Torg, Sam, and Bunbun have gone...

Interesting that Wilden shot the Envoy. He didn't seem to have a plan to replace him, and relying on Jzaxil to save Riff and Tombsy seems pretty dicey. I guess it was just a last-second snap decision and he was doing the best he could. Lucky for him/Riff that Torg/Chaz took out Kira.
Lady Tomb on the other hand, she knew exactly what would happen and she immediately resolved the critical problem. That saved her and most of the survivors, but what will happen with the interrupted ritual? Is Wilcott a suitable replacement or is the ritual still going to go haywire?
Depends on if Torg & Sam grab the Book, I guess. But did the demons need the Book without the Envoy?
