Too many things are going on at the same time. Tuesday is becoming confused as to who it should be rooting for so Lord Poopy can destroy all of them. ---------- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Please remember to vote every day until the world ends.

Wow! Swift sequence of events! Poor Kiki-Ozzid... Seeing her "ow" like that is heartbreaking... Yodimus_Prime wrote: Lots of things may be happening, but the one that sticks out most is Riff took the friggin shot Agreed! Stun setting or not...

I have to admit I was speculating Torg would throw Chaz, Riff would take the shot and Chaz would take the hit instead of Kiki. And I also didn't think Sam had it in him. Although after Agent G'naaaw 'double tenderized' him off frame, Sam may not have much of his insides left in him any longer. And Ozzid is having doubts.

No matter what, I hope Sam's second date with Agent G'naaaw goes better than the first one.

What is Torg saying he can't? He can't throw Chaz at Kiki?

You can't just hope he will only knock out the book. Exactly... and to both demon and host. Honestly I am not surprised Torg didn't take the shot, nor am I surprised that Riff did. Also... stay good, Ozzid! Stay good!

I mean, it's to save the world, so Riff's action shouldn't surprise anybody. Even without a stun setting. It's kind of his thing to try to kill the group's friends when they're being naughty.
Is anyone taking tally of these anymore? I don't feel the need to go and gather evidence to make that point.

You can't just hope he will only knock out the book. I could not imagine Torg even thinking about throwing Chaz at Kiki. So I thought he might be aiming for the Book. But Zoë let them know that Gwynn is in the Book. So if Torg hits anything at all, the chances of killing someone seem pretty great - even if Gwynn already demonstrated that Chaz through the Book is not likely to kill or even harm. But I am not surprised that Riff could be "pragmatic," when Torg could not.

Rather, I think he’ll justify it, but still never forgive himself for it. We’ll see the guilt manifest later, that’s for sure.

The thing I appreciate the most is that even after all this, Riff is still the man willing to take the shot. He always was; it's his fatal flaw in a lot of ways, just as much as Torg's is his unwillingness to do the same. Two sides of the hero coin (getting Daredevil vs Punisher vibes haha)

I originally glazed over it because of the double tenderizing slam, but I like Sam's new pet name in the last panel. Keep shipping for Sam's happy ever after, folks.
