Time to see if Monday is the start of a wonderful week. Maybe not for the scribe, though... ---- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Remember to vote every day.

The wisdom of Anise, "Neat. I'm just gonna be way over here." Good choice!

I am sure everything is going to turn alright...
Anyway, I don't know if it was intentional, but I really like the composition of the shot of the second frame with the scribe and Anise's wings. Quite the foreshadowing.

"New servants. Of bird and man" ... what was flying around behind the Torgydytes back at the 24th anniversary?
Dealing with the Book of E-Ville never seems to end well. I wonder how Yffi managed to avoid the beguilement. My opinion of him is going to take a blow if he knew this was inevitable and sacrificed the Scribe to the Bug and Farahan to keep himself safe.

Oh good, we can see his face and die now.
Or see his big nose wart and see why he invited this rumour to keep his shame underwraps.
Can't wait to see which one! I'm personally hoping for the death one.

I gotta say, I am loving the anachronistic storytelling of these chapters. Continuing with our cast for a bit, and then getting greater context for an occurrence in the Book of E-Ville's past.

Grammar Nazi time: Last panel should be: "...WHO HAS BEEN DECEIVING WHOM?!"
What's the difference, you ask? Whether to use who or whom depends on what the answer would be. If the answer is he/she, then the question would be who; if the answer is him/her, then the question is whom. The answer above would be "He has been deceiving her", so it is "Who has been deceiving whom?"

You would think that someone that's about to be part of a book would have better grammar.
