Today should be called Chazday. I know nobody would disagree.

The 'search the web' thing is cool. Albeit it doesn't tell you what the interaction is, but there isn't much wiggle room with a sword. Usually bad.
And he bans Mercia, not the sword. Assuming the sword will never leave Mercia?

Oh, that which is off limits is often enticing...

Yffi consulting the fate web? Just who is this guy? I already found it a bit strange that he knew so much about the books, but on top of that he knows a lot about Chaz and has access to the fate web?

People able to consult the fate web are not that uncommon.

It's not really a big surprise Yffi is able to do it too. I f anything, his knowledge of the fate web might be the best explanation to how he know so much about everything else.

And now my questions on how the Scribe knows Chaz, and what he can do, are answered. Of course there's a new question - what's the deal between the Fate Spider(s) and Yffi? Partners? Is he a tool of Fate? Is it just a spell that invokes the Spiders?

The other questions from the start of this arc are "What is her name?" "How does she end up a puppet of Farahan" and "Did anyone leave Kiki a sandwich back in Italy?"

Although Farahan does have broad shoulders, so that may be a hint ...

On Yffi's reaction, perhaps he saw in the Web that the scribe is fated to be killed by Chaz and takes away to protect her?

Killed by the sword, I imagine and that's all I'll say on that. I think I know who the scribe is now.

That's how it looks, yes. Like nearly every character who learns about a fate they dislike, he tries to change fate, but he can't. Usually in these situations, the character's attempt to change fate starts a chain of events that eventually causes the fate they wanted to prevent. Oedipus is a famous example.

I hope we'll find out eventually how Chaz got from Mokhadun to Mercia.

Hm, so Chaz is a relic even by medieval standards.

What the WHAAAAAT?!

So there is a tangle/spider over the sword in panel 5, and one over the Scribe, and a web connecting them. Interesting.

I wonder if that's supposed to be a young Torgamous, or just another Mercian warlord.

eta: Oops, I missed Tuesday's comic. Nevermind.

Well, as it date from pre-Egyptian era, and maybe even beyond that, that would be so, yes.

Isn't it obvious? African swallow (laden) to France, then European swallow (also laden) to Mercia.

If you knew how long the trips took, however, you could calculate an answer to one of the most vexing questions in cinematic history!
