Friday did the thing that cousin Tues wanted to do. But it was still done somewhat quickly and last-minute... Anyways, here's Beast Zoe! Hope you like it. ---- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Please don't forget to vote every day.

Chaz has been reawakened. Wonder how he's going to react to being bent.

if anyone is wondering, the minotaur dude is speaking Latin. and he's saying EXACTLY what you'd think in this scenario. don't bother google translating for secret plot points :)
regardless, THAT was quick and unexpected!

A sad conclusion. I was hopping for a complete Farhan book's brides reunion (quite the book club it would be, wouldn't it?), but I don't think that's happening. At least what's his face is undone, now.
Looking forward to Chaz reacting to being bent.

Mind blown. Someone around the Mercia time used powers from Farahan/E-ville to trap a girl into the book?
And the 'Ring' girl-monster was innocent after all. Not at all about to rip all their legs off.
Wait .. in panel 5, it looks like she pulls herself onto Chaz! Grammercy: Archaic use, to indicate gratitude or surprise. She knew she was a monster controlled by Farahan, about to possessed by a demon...and knew Chaz was a way to stop it.

Grammercy sounds like a brand of breakfast cereal. "You got all the nutritious value recommanded to you in the morning, with a single bowl of Grammercy"

Lindley wrote: I don’t get “Grammercy”. "Gramercy means 'many thanks'. It is derived from the French term grand merci, meaning 'big thanks'." In the previous panel, she's saying that no monster/foe shall have her again so she's using Chaz (which she recognized, so she likely knows about its properties) to put an end to herself before getting fully possessed. She thanks Torg for that opportunity. Biscuit wrote: Mind blown. Someone around the Mercia time used powers from Farahan/E-ville to trap a girl into the book? Going by what Fahran had been doing with Gwynn (i.e. same thing she did with Allie) it is safe to deduce that this was another would-be-witch who got seduced by the book's power and trapped in it by Fahran when she refused to bow down to his increasing demands. And we know there's a third one. Maybe the owner of the book before Riff's dad got his hands on it? I get the feeling it will be someone more connected to the main plot than this poor lass.

Hm. This corrupted human-monster being innocent enough to ping Chaz is interesting, seeing as given her backstory I'm pretty sure Siphy II wouldn't have been.
