We are gathered here today on this Monday, to pay our respects to Phillips Aitchdee Teavee. He was always so full of light. His life was unexpectedly cut short just a few day ago by an extremely sudden and unexpected illness. The last person to talk to him was Orville. Unfortunately he could not be here today due to the demands of his union job. They both would always be sure to set aside an hour every week to talk about things. Of course another reason that Orville may not be here is because Phillips passed away about forty five minutes into one of their weekly talks. It is understandable why he may not of wished to be here. Phillips was only a month away from celebrating his fifth birthday. ----- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Please vote everyday!

Now, is it the Gang they're afraid of? Or maybe....
Something else?

Oh, yes, that expression is uncertainty-fear. Let's give them what they need and maybe they'll go away.

For a long time I've felt Frog was a bit of a one-note character (cranky and drunk... kind of like "Bun-bun lite") but he's gaining a bit of depth here. Perhaps lack of alcohol has allowed his crankiness to be useful in noticing things and not taking it all for granted.

Also, completely different surroundings and people can change the way you react to things. Without the intense denial-inducing atmosphere of hC, Frog can mature.

Out of all them, Frog is being the most sane. What the heck?

I like what the commander said--frog has been so one dimensional, it is good to see him branch out and we get to see him in a different dimension...see what I did there?
Seriously though, I think that this story is really well written and has me on the edge of my seat every comic! they kill something with an anima, they find other people with animas, they hug and all that, they make the assumption (right or wrong) that the animas are connected with a person's true self. I'm thinking they might be proven wrong with that eventually.

The vine is yellow, the moon is blue. These folks are friendly – but even so ...
(I actually think the animas and the second moon look more turquoise than blue, but hey, poetic license.)

An uncertain fear of the natives, the aggressiveness of the clan leader...
I expect it to make sense sooner or later...

I expect it to make sense sooner or later... Sooner or too late* muahahaha! Edit: Damn, I really AM feeling the bloodlust this year. Maybe I should see a psychiatrist now so that I can set a precidence for mental health issues, in preparation for a plea. In the meantime, Who wants to vote on who gets sucked dry first?
