Thursday knows he could have done more to save his friend during that horrible fireworks accident.

But it was so pretty...

I've totally lost the plot of this story. Maybe if I read the whole thing from the beginning in one sitting...

Hmm...upon second reading when I'm *not* only a quarter paying attention, it's obvious what's going on. Nevermind.

Interesting that a seemingly primitive village can fight off a bunch of space pirates like that. Interesting to see what comes of this encounter.

Those guys are all from the laser sword. Not the lack of bunny ears on the ship.

Anyway, I like the "signal."

Isn't the plural form of cannon also cannon, with no s? Like "We got sixteen cannon onboard, matey." (The "matey" is important.) I've seen it written that way in novels that take place in the 19th century.

The pirate farthest to the left of the first panel looks mighty dumb. Mighty dumb.

Well, y'all stole the comment I've had since "Oceans" started, which is that it is just flat-out nice to look at. Pretty (as has been said). Even - cinematic. Feature-length "Sluggy" film, anyone? I think WETA's not quite as busy these days...

Oh, and if confused about which ship it is, look for the beginning of the name of the ship in panel two. You might also look here and here.

The cartoon was a little confusing, but not too much. That's the sort of signal for back-up you want, hard to forget.

I think you have sixteen cannons, but together they make up the cannon on the ship. Like water vs waters.

Umm... are you saying that most garrisons are armed with less than leaves?
Or that Bunbun thought that the village must be so very well skilled that they didn't need armour?
I'm confused about your intention...

When I read the part about the captian in today's strip, I went "buwahahaha!"
Then , I wondered about big red ducks.

Awww, Man!

The comic isn't uploading for me. :oasis:

Ain't the first time it's happened, either. I can understand that 3 AM EST isn't exactly the most important time for the site admin to check it all works, but still. Bummer. :kzk:

So I won't read any reactions, I don't want any giveaways!!

Yeah they are - they're making a live-action Evangelion movie (grumble grumble :oasis: )
