Friday wants to let you know that yesterday is a jerk. The List is not "intriguing", it is will be utterly incomprehensible to the minds of mortals living in the lower planes of existence. So let's get this magic thing straight--
Gwynn used to be able to use magic because the fragment of K'Z'K in her head was lending her some of his power.
The queens of Mochadune were able to use magic because apparently you can teach yourself magic, no cosmic being fragment required.
Gwynn can now use magic because Farrahhnn is faxing her K'Z'K's magic from the book... somehow.
Sheesh, you'd think Gwynn would lay off the book and learn to wield magic the no-strings-attached way, like the queens did.

I like how everyone of the big 4 has a weapon here. Be they eggs, the book, the sword, and new to the group, the woman slayer knife.
Not nearly as cool as the blaster Riff took from Torg but its up there.

Remember, Jane, just before she became Zombie Head On A Stick, said that true magic requires patience, strength of character, hard work, etc., or something like that, making it very hard to acquire. She was promptly treated to a demonstration of just how wrong she was. But perhaps she wasn't all wrong. Gwynn IS awesome here.

It's entirely possible that was propaganda promoted by the Gods in order to keep power more easily, too. Krohnus definitely seems like the type who might do that.

I assumed that the "we took our secret to the grave" comment indicated that they were deadles controlled by kozaku, and got their power from him.
