HA ha HA HA ha. I got one right. I'm so happy right now, and all because I got one little thing right..........I might be about to experience phase one myself. Traditionally, the successful challenger of a place in a pirate vessel would take over the job of the deceased, in which case Calix should be first mate. But that would be up to the Captain, and Calix would have to bend the knee to him. Tomorrow should tell us.
Bun-bun was clearly not surprised at the way things turned out with Daggerfish, and being attacked by Calix wasn't any surprise either. But then Bun-bun always seems to expect to be attacked, indeed to welcome it. He BELONGS on a pirate ship, and could never be anything but the Captain.

I think I am having difficulty adjusting to the punch line mid-strip concept.

This is cool. It was obvious Daggerfish was going to die but I didn't expect it so soon, by Calix. This sets up Calix as a potential very interesting character. Bun Bun's contribution though stills seems a bit 'been there, done that'.
