Fake plot twists? Get on with the plot? What are you talking about?
We are seeing Torg trying to return to "normal society" and the normal weirdness that passes for everyday life in the Sluggy Household. This is not some grand epic plot. This isn't some all-encompassing storyline. This is a series of short bits, much like the foundation on what Sluggy Freelance is based upon, bringing us cute funny clips to amuse us with.
And it's being done quite well. Torg isn't just fitting right back in (though he's making a good attempt). And Riff is acting like his usual self, trying to shift blame and finding any way to get out of his responsibilities. He has done this numerous times. Of course, the "old" Torg was rather defensive about Aylee as well, but Riff always turned a blind eye to that as well.
The funny thing is... we've seen Torg interact with Gwynn and confront her on the Book of E-ville. We've seen Torg get mad at Riff concerning Torg4's "kidnapping" and just now with Riff being perfectly content with selling off Aylee, whom he doesn't particularly care for. But we've not seen Torg and Zoe talk, we've not really seen them interact together much (besides on Sunday) since that first day when Torg returned and ended up crying in Zoe's arms.
There's a wind blowing... it's gusting up, and the squall-line should be hitting soon. It'll be interesting to see what happens... and if Torg tells Zoe about what happened in the Dimension of Lame... and about Zoe2... or if he repeats that Zoe's mistakes and hides it, not wanting to hurt this world's Zoe.
Because, when you think of it... did Zoe2 not tell Torg about the death of her husband (Torg2) because she didn't want him to know he was "just a replacement"? Or did she not tell him because she genuinely cared for him and didn't want him to think he was "just a replacement" as she genuinely cared for him?
And... in not telling, when the truth did come out... it hurt that much more. Might not something similar happen here, with this world's Zoe? Is it better to hide the truth? Or to tell it... and let Zoe know everything?
The Kittens rate this day's comic at three Kittens mewing cutely for milk. Nice... amusing end... but not among the best of the strips out there by a long shot. More on the average (among the amusing strips) side.

Whoah, it's TNA. I was just thinking about you because the (semi) new RS thread is up. Creepy :-).
Yeah my first gut reaction to this strip was kinda negatie. I'm actually kinda surprised it was so well received.
