Love it!

Torg trying to get back on track, and Zoe making sham-rage over something silly. She's so not going to get a love declaration right now. (-;

The barraging of the door with her whole body, like a hockey/soccer goalie, would have spoiled the surprise if Torg was attentive - turns out he's wasn't, perhaps too busy about the past.

That's the first time I see Zoe trying to be somewhat manipulative that I can recall; she's overdoing like a real person not used to that would. This soooo savory!!

Oficially rated 6 out of 6 poings (potential poing #7 is busy preparing the party)

Still funny on re-read!

P.S.: Zoe is cute when she's angry.

you don't have a computer at home?

How evil :kzk:

Oh, Zoe has been manipulative before:

Torg is acting more like his Torgish self in this strip, which seems a little too quick an adjustment for me. Still, I wait (im)patiently for Pete to reveal all. I have faith.

Really? How long has it been for him? Has it been days? A couple of weeks? A month or more? How long was he still in the DoL after Zoe2's death? (That I suspect was a week.)

The human species rebounds from things quickly. It has to. But I suspect we have Torg bolting upright in the middle of the night holding back a scream of "No!"... he rolls over, feels Zoe2 not there and wakes and holds back tears. Yes, he's wondering if he was just replacing his Zoe with Zoe2... and if she was just replacing him for her Torg... but that doesn't lessen the pain and loss.

And Gwynn's little "prank" undoubtedly also jarred him back into a sense of normalacy. He's seen it before (Gwynn and the book). And he's seen his own attempts to make things better backfire before. In a way... it's a sign that he's back home. All he needs is to wake up Christmas Day and find BunBun with a ribbon tied around his neck to make his Christmas complete. ;)

Still... I wonder if sometimes he sneaks a rice cake to eat. :kiki:

The house has a chandelier? Actually, I can buy that.

The house has a chandelier intact?!

I still say pushing Torg under mistletoe will end any worries of coming up with distractions. :p

She looks a lot like oasis in the last panel. To me anyway.

Dude, don't mix your songs, it'll give you a worse hangover. And it's "a beer... iiin a tree" if you're mixing with the Bob and Doug Mackenzie version. I'd quote it at you, but it doesn't quote too well. And I can't find a page with just the lyrics.

Actually, I was mixing the songs on purpose. And in the Bob and Doug version, they don't say "in a tree" until the fifth or six time. At first it's just, "And a beer!" This I know.

Torg...Alt-Zoƫ would never have stopped you from going into the dining room. How about that?

Oh, like the splashes of chirstmas colour.

This strip didn't click for me either, no idea why. Ah well.

I see Torg's still wearing black

yes, there is a fireplace in the dining room

It's not obvious to me in the first strip that that's the dining room. In the second strip, that does look kind of like the dining room--there being a table there--but that seems to be the room that Torg's in now. Hmmm.

Well, judging from what Torg says in this strip, "After a few days of gnawing through the fridge in a post-rice-cake-frenzy I've decided..." [emphasis added], it's only been a few days. Unless I'm misreading this or Torg waited a couple of weeks before starting his binge.

:torg: Pish-posh!

What made me laugh the most was the image of Torg's post-rice-cake-fridge-frenzy.

No, poor Gwynn really can't get rid of the Book of E-Ville. She's tried in the past.

As for the chandelier-- the gang is living in a Colonial era house, remember. Chandeliers were common lighting fixtures in them, and were often replaced by modern electric equivalents when those houses were renovated. There was certainly one in the front hallwhen they first viewed the place. And colonials have fireplaces in almost every room; it's how they were heated.

How's this for architectural consistency? Thisappears to be the same room where Gwynn is sitting in today's comic.
