Google is your friend. :kiki: Four different versions of the lyrics:

Nice job Pete. Some people have a monkey on their back. Gwynn's got a book in her pack.

I like how it comes in the different window than the one she's hiding from. The funniest part of the strip but not portrayed well enough to catch it. I think most people missed that.

Check that...'not again' is funnier. ^_^

Torg needs to pay attention to what's happening with Gwynn and the Book. The same thing is liable to happen to him with that Sword.

One more thing: I know what i'd like as a Christmas present from the Esteemed Author...........A look at the Funny Pages Torg saved out when starting the fire in the Demon King's kitchen.

Well, my computers been down since last Sunday, so I'll just comment on the whole week here: very well done indeed. perhaps this was the best way Pete could have handled the fallout from TWR. The effect on Torg look interesting- he's more mature/proactive it seems. And the Buffy references seem appropriate.

The fact that this whole thing started with a big pointy arrow labeled "OMINOUS BOOK OF E-VILLE SPARKLES", and some people still didn't get what was going on, has killed a little bit of my faith in humanity.

*WAP* definitely belongs in the cool sound effects list. Not a *THUNK* or a *THUD*, but the distinct sound of ancient leather hitting cranium. And
owie indeed...that book hit spine first.

Oh, and now we know that Torg was gone for half a year (from his perspective). Not sure if it was the same timespan for the gang though.

No, this was definately a moment for a nice, loud *HasselHoff*! :kiki:

I think the Buffy reference might be to the episode in which people felt compelled to burst into musical numbers. This actually progressed the plot significantly, as people frequently end up singing in musical numbers things that they would ordinarily never say.

As of this strip, it did not take me long to get where the book was coming from (if you simply assume that the PoV changed but nothing else moved, it is pretty obvious).

And OK, Gwynn is in much better standing now that THAT's cleared up.

That sounds like speculation to me. Take that to SRC.

Good to see that Torg is starting to open up even the tiniest bit. And here's to Book-of-E-Ville-arangs (chuckle, snort, chuckle), 'cause Gwynn's had it coming.

Shouldn't that be bookerang?

Fifty Ways to Leave your Book of E-Ville

Just throw it in the trash bin, Gwynn
Get far away, Faye
You gotta be wary, Mary
Just listen to me
Throw it outside, Ida
Just remember to duck quick
Leave it on another plane, Jane
And get yourself free

Ooh, ooh, fifty ways to leave the E-Ville.

Hee hee! Here's hoping this holiday short opens up a whole storyline...
