I mean, they were never scared of bunbun for a second in the past event. Just annoyed that he ditched them. It takes a lot of trust to not be scared when you're woken up like that and threatened with various surgical instruments.

Anyone else notice the kid in the photos with Riff and Torg looks exactly like the kid from the beginning of this chapter?  pelrun wrote: Does "closest and most trusted friends" *really* include Bun-bun? Maybe in Bun-Bun's case it's like Count Olaf and the Baudelaire orphans in that being the closest relatives was based on proximity more than anything else. And you can always trust Bun-Bun to do what is in *his* best interests. So, closest and most trusted in that context is easy to apply to Bun-Bun.
