I'm pretty sure Rit has a day job, and is administering the Sluggy site in his copious spare time. But in his DefNif blog Pete says he's poking Rit with a stick about Weekly views, so it's apparently still on the punch-list. I take it this is for Sluggy news only, not ANY news (i.e. RL news items)?

Right. Real life news goes in General Chat or POOP.

In reaction to the current burnout messages, for what little my opinion is worth, I'd say Pete should take a break. The artwork is top-notch, and the storyline is very intriguing, but I can wait a week or two for more.

I vote for a Kweepie week!
I actually have a guinea pig named Beeker (Beaker? we're still arguing how the name should be spelled - aka muppet or official) so seeing Kweepie in the link cracked me up. Though they make more of a "wheet" sound than an "kweep" sound.

Hey Pete! Glad to hear new books are on the way -- um. I hate to remind you, but I presume that you'll want your new books to be typo free, so don't forget: http://www.sluggy.info/search/?s="sic"That link should list all the typos through ~May 2006 (for now) and many after that as well (just not necessarily all of them). Don't hate me.

So... has Pete been running off Defenders subscriptions and Megatome sales for the past years?

~oh!~ I get why MT3 hasn't come out now. and I'm really glad that 7, and 8 are both going back into limited production so i can actually have a relatively complete collection.

Pete, have you considered making the books available for sale for e-readers or for download in PDF form? It's great having the story in a physical book but you have a lot of readers around the globe and for some of us it costs almost as much for shipping as it does for the book. I reckon a lot of people would pay to have a megatome on their hard disc so they can read it more comfortably, especially when they can't get internet access.
